Q. Why is Council preparing a new Community Plan?
Council needs to prepare a Community Strategic Plan in response to changes to legislation requiring all councils to address and develop an Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework. This means that all NSW councils will need to prepare a Community Strategic Plan, a Workforce Plan, an Asset Management Plan and a Long term Financial Plan.
Q. Who is involved in the Process?
The Community Strategic Plan will be based on the input and direction provided by elected Councillors, Council management and other staff, local residents, community groups, local businesses, and community partners such as local and regional service providers, and state government bodies.
Q. How will the feedback I provide be used?
Council is serious about your involvement in developing a vision for our community and urges you to take this opportunity to make a difference. All feedback received via this forum and other consultation mechanisms will be presented to Council for consideration and incorporated into the new Community Strategic Plan where possible.
